M 64 (Black Eye Galaxy)

 

Messier 64 (The Black Eye Galaxy, or NGC 4826) is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Coma Berenices. Its spectacular dark band of absorbing dust in front of the galaxy's bright core, gives its nickname of the "Black Eye" galaxy.
