Messier 95 (or NGC 3351) is a barred spiral galaxy about 38 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1781, and later catalogued by Charles Messier. Member of so-called M 96 Group, which includes also galaxies M 96, M 105, NGC 3384 and NGC 3389.
